Hey there! Happy Halloween! How did the weekend turn out for you? Ours was a bit all over the place. Since I aim to share parts of our real life – the good and the bad – I thought I’d go over our highs and lows from the last few days.
Here are some of the highlights and lowlights of our weekend:
Friday afternoon run outside. #nofilter
Meadowmont has the prettiest running trails. It was absolutely perfect outside. I actually ran to my physical therapy appointment – about 3.5 miles there and back. My PT wanted me to take a short run before our appointment so it was the perfect opportunity. It felt great!
Arriving home from my run to find my November Stitch Fix items waiting for me! Yay!
Meeting up with a dear friend who got the girls these super cute (and stylish) boots. Wish I had them in my size!
Low: realizing I forgot to bring the flowers I bought her…whomp whomp
Saturday morning workout at Orangetheory. This was day 6 of Hell Week. The theme was The Burpee Switch Project and it definitely lived up to its title. I lost count how many burpees we did, but I was thinking all sorts of angry thoughts in my head. 🙂
Whole Foods with my mini drivers. 🙂
Halloween party in the neighborhood! We are getting a lot of mileage out of these costumes. Poor, Ashlyn – her frog costume was so hot! It was nearly 80 degrees that day.
Bounce-house! High: who doesn’t LOVE a good bounce-house? Low: inevitably one of my children will get bumped or knocked down and I have to get her out. A bit of a death trap, right?
A beautiful walk with these two. It feels like summer again.
Low: spending Saturday night in the ER with Ashlyn.
Poor thing – she woke up screaming in the middle of the night saying her stomach hurt. She was curled up and sobbing uncontrollably. Matt and I weren’t sure what it could be so I drove her to the ER….and waited….and waited. She began feeling better as the night went on. The doctors thought it could have been gas or constipation or possibly the start of a stomach virus. She fell asleep and we were discharged after they checked her over. She seems totally fine today and her normal, playful self. Are you seasoned parents laughing at me? Maybe we overreacted, but in the moment it was scary and we didn’t want to take our chances.
Halloween surprises for the girls. Why, yes, those are toothbrushes in there. Haha!
Halloween crafts. I love a good paint project. Being a parent lets you be a kid again and I love crafty things like this.
Like cutting out pumpkin faces in apple slices. Okay, okay. Enough.
Have a fun and safe Halloween!
How was your weekend? Any highs or lows to share?
