Hello! How’s it going, friends? I am extra excited for the weekend to arrive because we have a lot of fun things planned, including dinner out with friends! Adult conversation, cocktails, and good company. LOVE it! I hope you have some good things on the horizon, too.
Okay, I have lots of fun things to share today. I can’t wait to hear what you think.
Here’s what I’m loving lately:
Big Bang coffee by Peet’s – I love Peet’s coffee and this new signature blend is amazing! It’s a medium roast, but I find it very smooth. I love the description on their website: “Vibrant complexity and supernatural citrus.” Sounds intense, right?
Roasted plantain chips – Trader Joe’s makes the.best.snacks. We used to get one bag of their plantain chips a week until I told Matt never to return with less than two. Between the four of us we now polish off three bags per week. #sorrynotsorry. If you don’t have a TJs near you, I feel sorry for you, but don’t worry – Amazon carries them!
Cheap whiskeys that taste expensive – I don’t drink whiskey, but I know someone who does and it always amazes me how much whiskey costs. I don’t like spending more than $15 on a bottle of wine!

Sweet potato smoothie – I’ve been cooking up a bunch of sweet potatoes and enjoying them all week long. I have become addicted to this sweet potato smoothie and love whipping it up after an Orangetheory workout. Just make it!
The early morning bike rides with the girls. We love getting out before it gets too hot. Ashlyn likes riding with her floatie. 🙂
My short(er) hair. I went even shorter in length this week and I’m lovin it.
Grilled plantains in brown sugar glaze – yes, yes, yes!
Gel mesh supercharged tank by Athleta – I recently bought this tank from Athleta and it’s easily my favorite workout top. It’s semi-fitted and very flattering. The built-in sports bra on this top provides enough support and coverage that I don’t need to wear another sports bra underneath. Oh and it’s on sale for $24.99!
Getting back into yoga – I have been focusing so much on strength that I have been neglecting my yoga practice. I went this week for the first time in months and it felt amazing. I definitely need to make a point to get back on my mat more often. It makes such a big difference on my body.

Nike Flex Fury – Don’t get me wrong. I am still loyal to my Mizunos, but I’ve found for the interval and strength training I do in my classes, Nikes work well. I can get away with a bit less support and I like the added flexibility of the shoe. Side note: I bought these on 6pm.com. It has discounted name brand shoes, clothing, and accessories. I have only purchased shoes so far, but the ones I’ve bought have been 40 – 50% off! You should check it out!
Okay, making this spring roll chicken salad STAT. Looks deeeelicious! I love anything that combines my three favorite foods: chicken, avocado, and almond butter.
