Hey everyone! It’s Friday! What do you have planned for the long weekend? We’re hoping to get outside a bit and soak up the sun before this horrible weather comes through.
I’m glad you guys enjoyed the last Friday faves post. It was fun to write about some of the things I’ve been enjoying. That being said, let’s get right into it!
Beautycounter translucent color lip sheer – I was recently given the opportunity to sample a variety of Beautycounter products and I’m really digging the lip sheer. It’s a soft and subtle lip color that feels more like a cream than a lipstick. It has a nice vanilla scent and keeps my lips hydrated. I’m using the rose color. I love the packaging as well (obviously the most important part).
Louis Jadot Beaujolais-Villages wine – I recently went to dinner with my friend to celebrate my upcoming birthday (it’s next Wednesday) and she gave me a bottle of this wine. It’s one of our favorites, but I haven’t had it in years. It’s a French wine with a lot of flavor and a hint of spice. Funny story about this wine – my friend left the bottle in her car during the day and the cork pop because it was so hot out. She handed me the bottle with the seal broken and the bottle recorked and we both just laughed. Who knew that could happen?
Homemade chocolate almond milk – In case you missed it, I recently shared a quick and easy recipe to make your own chocolate almond milk. It’s a million times better for you than the store bought kind and it’s really easy to make! I like using it for my post workout shakes. In fact, we’ve all been enjoying it over here. I need to make more
and hide it.
This sophisticated play space by Emily Henderson – I have a dilemma. When we moved into our house 18 months ago, we decided to use our dining room as the girls play area while they are little and require supervision. Still, I feel like I haven’t totally committed to the room being their toy/play area. We try to contain all their stuff in this space, but it could use a little warming up. I LOVE the idea of making a playroom with a little style.
How cute is this idea of remodeling a kids kitchen? Apparently this is a thing (and I kind of love it!).
Hopscotch Kids nail polish – I recently came across this line of children’s nail polish at a local retailer. Hopscotch Kids makes non-toxic, kid-friendly nail polish. In fact, it was ranked the safest kids polish by Environmental Working Group’s Cosmetic Safety Database. Know what else is neat? The bottles are spill-proof!
Google Keep app – My sister-in-law tipped me off to this free note keeping app through Google and I’m obsessed. It is so easy to use and provides a great visual for all my to-dos and random thoughts. I love it because you can take photos of your handwritten notes and you can speak notes. This is super helpful when I’m driving and a thought pops into my head that I don’t want to forget. LOVE!
23 useful laundry tips that will make your life easier – I found this article through Pinterest and thought it had some really great ideas. I have a few friends I know will appreciate this one. I love the suggestion about using vinegar and baking soda to revive old towels and having a reminder board to keep track of special instructions for items.
And, finally, I really want to make this almond milk cold brew coffee latte. Looks amazing. I bet it would be even more decadent with homemade chocolate almond milk!
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend.
As always, thank you so much for reading!
