Last Friday, I returned home from my trip to St. Louis to find that my April Stitch Fix items had been delivered. Yay! I get so happy when that brown and blue box arrives. This month’s fix did not disappoint. I wanted to keep nearly everything!
If you haven’t heard of Stitch Fix, it’s an online shopping service that pairs you with a personal stylist who selects 5 items that are sent to you each month. Your stylist chooses items based on an extensive style profile that you fill out, your social media accounts (if you share them), and special requests you provide. You keep what you want and return what you don’t. The cost is $20 per month and that gets credited toward any purchases you make.
Once I created my own Pinterest Style Board and started to leave detailed feedback, I noticed my shipments were more closely matched with my style. I also think it helps if you stick with the same stylist so she can really get to know your preferences (hi, Katie!).
If you are interested in trying Stitch Fix, I would greatly appreciate it if you could use my affiliate link. Thank you for your support!
My stylist Katie sent me some great picks this month! I was a bit disappointed to learn that their shoes start at size 6 (whomp whomp). My tiny size 5 feet will have to find shoes elsewhere. But not to worry…I still love SF.
Dorianna Skinny Jean (by Lila Ryan)
These jeans! I can’t even. They are such a fun color! The vibrant cobalt blue denim is perfect for spring and summer. The material is lightweight and stretchy which is great since I have put on a bit of muscle in my legs and a lot of pants are too tight. I’m also wearing a tank I received in a prior fix and my new favorite denim jacket from Stitch #19. No clue where my shoes are from, maybe Target?
Taking pictures of my outfit helps me decide whether I am going to keep an item I received or send it back. I also find it helpful to take photos inside and outside so you can see how the outfit looks in different lighting. These pants are definitely a KEEPER.
Galen Laser Cut Dress (by Collective Concepts)
I am also keeping this dress. When I pulled it out of the box, I wasn’t sure I would like it, but when I tried it on I fell in love. I swore off the color navy after wearing it as a uniform for 10+ years through Catholic school, but I’ve started wearing it again and I actually like it. My shoes are an old pair of Banana Republic heels that I haven’t worn in a lonnnggg time. In fact, I rarely wear heels nowadays, but that’s another post.
What I like about this dress is the simplicity of the style and the unique eyelet detail throughout. I also really like the adjustable tie on the side. I plan on wearing this to a family celebration next month. It will be perfect for the southern climate.
Genioa Mixed Material Knit Top (by RD Style)
My hunt for the perfect white tee continues, but this top is a close second. It’s a pale blue knit top with a white (almost sheer) back to it. Super, super cute and a different spin on the classic white tee. I’m keeping this top!
Matt called the image below my “blue steel” look. Too funny! The wind was crazy that day and my hair was flying all over the place.
I’ve matched my outfit with my vegan cross-body bag from my last fix. I really love this purse!
Riddle crew neck top (by Olive & Oak)
I was really happy to find this top in my shipment. I had previously pinned it to my Style Board after seeing it on Instagram. I liked it a lot, but I wasn’t crazy about the way it looked on me. I appreciated the fun design on the shirt and the crew neck top, however, I didn’t think I would wear it that much so I sent it back. My jeans are from a previous fix and I LOVE them.
Clara Lace Detail Swing Skirt (by Brixon Ivy)
More navy! I requested a new skirt for work, but this one was not right for me. It had a cute lace detail in the pleats and a nice pattern (hard to see in the pics), but the material was a blend of polyester and didn’t look very professional. I decided to send this back.
