Hey, how are you? Almost to the weekend!
I am recovering from a cold that I picked up from the girls recently. It’s left me dragging a bit this week. Just a little parent perk. We share everything.
I wanted to try something new with this post and share some of the things that I am loving right now. If you end up liking it then perhaps it will become a regular on the blog. Let me know what you think!
I ordered these on a whim from Zappos and I’m so glad I did. They are hands down the most comfortable pair of shoes I own. The’re slip-ons which makes them ideal for anyone who just wants to slide their shoes on and go. Perfect for summer and just lounging around, too. Because sometimes sandals aren’t enough shoe, but sneakers are too much. Know what I mean? Anyway, love these and I feel like I need to buy a back-up pair just in case they go out of stock.
Ear crawlers and jackets
This is a trend I am embracing right now. I’m not much of an earring person and I always worry that dangling earrings will get snagged on something or the girls will rip them out. These are real fears, people! I picked up a pair of these when my sister and I went shopping last week and I love them! They came with a few different studs so you can switch them out and mix up the look. Pinterest has some really fun ones. I may have to start a collection of these.
Tree Hut Shea Moisturizing Body Wash, Coconut Lime
This body wash is crazy good! I must credit my husband for this one. I asked him to pick me up some shower gel when he went to Harris Teeter a few weeks ago and he came back with this gem. It’s made with organic shea butter and coconut extract. The smell is absolutely delicious. Plus, it’s sulfate and paraben free. I found it on Amazon, but if you see it at the store be sure to grab it! You won’t be disappointed.
Starbucks coconut misto
I’m enjoying Starbucks’ cafe coconut misto right now. If you are avoiding dairy, you may want to try this the next time you get a coffee. A misto is just a fancy term for coffee with steamed milk. I’ve gotten it with soy in the past, but now that SBUX offers coconut milk, I’ve started ordering that instead. It’s delicious and very creamy and a great alternative to soy. FYI, there is still sugar in the coconut milk, but it’s much less than some of the other beverages at the store.
I began reading Big Magic after Kristan recommended it to me. It immediately sucked me in and I burned right through it. I’ve always been impressed with Elizabeth Gilbert’s writing, but her words in this particular piece really struck a cord with me. I love her undisguised, matter-of-fact style. It’s exactly what I needed to hear at exactly this point in my life. Highly recommend this book!
It seems like every day my phone sends me a warning that my storage is almost full. This has become a daily annoyance for me. I despise these messages. The problem? Too many photos and videos on my phone. I’ve tried a lot of storage solutions in the past, but I wasn’t happy with anything. After complaining to my brother (whom I consider a computer genius) he told me to check out Google Photos. Problem solved! Not only does it automatically save ALL of my photos and videos, but it organizes them for me. What?! So once my images have been safely backed up, I can delete the original ones from my phone (or Google Photos will do it for me) and free up more storage. Happy dance!
So, what are you loving lately?
Anyone else get frustrated with the lack of storage on their phone? I’m sure I have too much junk stored on mine.
